Aki up at 0700 to join a zoom webinar from Japan. I lay in a little before rising, eating porridge, ironing a shirt and trousers, and packing an overnight bag. Headed off around 0915, driving out to the M11 via the A10 and the North Circular. Stopped off at the services on the M11 before heading east for Haverhill, and from there up to Mildenhall before double-backing to Bury St Edmunds. Managed to stop for lunch in the town centre, and ended the inspections in darkness on an extensive 70s era Council estate. Headed back into town and the new Premier Inn near the junction with the A14. Did some work at the computer, then headed into town to find dinner. The Angel Hotel was busy, so I ended up in Cote Brasserie....had the pork belly with dauphinoise potatoes, and a small bottle of lager. Took a wee turn around the town centre afterward. It's quite atmospheric down by the old priory.
