Woke up around 0830. Did some reading in bed before hauling ourselves out for a pancake breakfast. Drove to Waitrose and parked the car, then walked down the Holloway Road to the art shop near Highbury Corner...got Aki's Christmas present, a set of coloured drawing inks. Walked on down Upper Street and bought some small clip top storage jars, intending to make some homemade festive ketchup. Walked back to Waitrose and did the shop. Brief FaceTime call from Ma and Pa whilst I was washing the shopping. Had a light lunch. Walked up to the North Nineteen for rehearsals with our Scottish folk orchestra. We had all done LFT's before the meet in the back bar. Aki and I stayed behind afterward, having ordered two portions of chicken katsu curry for our dinner...the pub has a Japanese chef, would you believe. He came out and had a wee chat with us...he heralds from Yokohama, and has been in the UK for over twenty years. We promised to return to try his sashimi!
