Woke around 0800. Got up and made tea. Did some work at the computer before porridging, making a packed lunch, and setting off for Harrow and Wealdstone. Inspections then took me down to Southall, Hounslow, and Hampton. Had my lunch in the car in a Tesco car park somewhere. Found myself driving past Hampton Court Palace...noticed they had a tulip festival on over the coming Bank Holiday weekend...Aki might like that! Got home around 1930...just had time to get some dinner down us...Aki had made a daal, which we ate with rice, naan, and a samosa. Wandered over to No.38 for Book Club. Gayu and Ben had put on a generous spread, so we had dessert...Ben had made his speciality cheesecake. "Master & Margarita" received mixed reviews. Dulcie failed to get past the first five chapters, neither Gayu nor Aki had finished it, and Gareth loathed the biblical references. Ben, Jane, George, Katherine, and I, had all enjoyed bits of it. Polly wasn't able to attend, which was a pity, as she had studied Russian literature, and might have been able to shed some light on the more enigmatic sections of the novel. Got home around 2230.
