Woke around 0230 with a coughing fit...my hernia is really not enjoying the continuous coughing, and now gives me constant gip. Managed to get back to sleep, though, and woke around 0830. Made tea. We were out of bread so walked up to the Farmer's Market at Yerbury school to replenish supplies. Ma and pa FaceTimed us, and we had a brief chat en route, so to speak. It seems dad sought medical advice for his swollen leg too late...the latterly diagnosed snapped Achilles will not now knit itself back together, so he has to focus on exercises to build up the muscularity around it...luckily, it seems to be holding together, but will give him some on-going pain I suspect. It hadn't stopped him planting some spuds! Walked back home with our loaf and had a late breakfast. Did some work at the computer while Aki did some gardening. Watched the Man City v Sheffield Utd FA Cup semi-final before dinner. Pork shoulder with rice and vegetables. Tuned in to BBC Wales radio commentary on the Wrexham v Borehamwood game...Wrexham won 3-1, securing a fairytale promotion back into the Football League. Watched a bit of telly before bath and bed...
