Alarm at 0730. Got up and made tea and did a little work at the laptop before breakfast downstairs. Headed for the Afan Valley north of Port Talbot first thing, then back down to Cwmafan...the mountains looked glorious in the bright spring sunshine...felt like I was on holiday. Then it was across to Neath...another depressed and depressing south Wales town, half full of drunks all staggering about in the town centre, can in hand. Stopped at Cafe Forty-Six for my lunch...they do a decent and reasonably priced jacket potato in there. Drove to Mumbles at close of play, and had my dinner at Verdi's, on the harbour front there...wholesome home cooked Italian food...I had the beef in actasty pizzaiola sauce, followed by tiramisu. Took a short drive up to Bracelet Bay and The Mumbles lighthouse (see photo) as the sun was going down. Got back to the hotel and worked until midnight trying to catch up on uploading all the photos, and filling out the inspection sheets! Fell into bed exhausted...
