Woke around 0800. Breakfast downstairs in the restaurant. Did a little work at the laptop before venturing out toward Rochester, and Strood. Dad due at the RVI for an op on his neck this morning, so kept an eye out for WhatsApp updates. Got back to the hotel and dined in the restaurant again. Called ma and pa...dad seemed in good spirits, and said the op had gone according to plan, and hopefully he's in the clear. He said he was feeling a bit sore, as the local anaesthetic was beginning to wear off. Watched some more Cup football...Manchester United narrowly beat a vibrant Forest at the City Ground.
