Woken by Aki's alarm at 0730...still raining! Languished in bed for a bit. Aki brought me a mug of tea, then settled down for a Teams meeting with the Japanese hotel developers. Porridged. Slung a packed lunch into a tupperware box, and headed back west to pick up where I left off yesterday evening. Stopped off at Morrisons in Acton for some odds 'n ends, courtesy of my Savills lunch expenses, then headed further west, to Northolt, then south to Hounslow, and finally north-west to Drayton Park. Turned for home before dusk, getting in at 1730. Got changed, then we walked into Finsbury Park for dinner at Osteria Tufo...we shared a burrata starter, followed by pork fillet in a red wine reduction, on mashed potato, and finished up sharing a tiramisu. Wandered round to the Park Theatre for "Kim's Convenience", starring the author as Mr Kim. He's a Toronto based actor who, fed up with the paucity of roles for Korean descendants, wrote himself a charming comedy set in a convenience store in downtown Toronto, which he put on at the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2011. It then got picked up by Netflix, and became a five season TV series. It was good...he was very entertaining as the grumpy pater familias, although the overarching storyline was a bit thin. The set was great...we felt like having a browse in the store afterwards. An enjoyable evening. Walked home. Exhausted after a heavy week in property inspections mode. Early bath and bed...
