Woken by a loud bang at about 0500...sounded like something had collapsed on the building site at the back. Aki up early to ready herself for a works meeting in Camden. I got up as she cycled off into the dawn. Porridged. Ventured out into the Arctic morning for a GP appointment round the corner at Andover Medical Centre with Dr Wills, or Dr Last Wills & Testament, as he's known in this house. He prescribed some laxatives to take on a regular basis, and suggested I book in again for a month's time. Came home and worked at the computer. My new guitar amp was delivered...but minus the power cable, for some reason, so had to phone the shop...they arranged for one to be sent out tomorrow. Aki came back looking a bit frozen after her cycle ride. I fried some mushrooms and halloumi for lunch, which we had with toast and salad. Did some more work at the computer in the afternoon. I took an early break and cooked a spicy carrot and lentil soup to have for lunch tomorrow. Aki baked trout for dinner, with potatoes and vegetables. Watched "The Traitors", which is hotting up nicely. Finished "Oliver Twist"...bring on "Nicholas Nickleby"!
