Aki up early to ready herself for a meeting in Camden Town. I got up around 0930 and porridged. Drove over to Harringay with my guitar. Parked up at Sainsburys in Manor House, then walked round to the luthier in the Warehouse District. Angus dealt with the problem there and then, laying the guitar out on the operating theatre, loosening the strings, and gaining access to the machine's innards to fish out a 9-volt battery housing!!! I had no idea it was hidden away down there...basically, I paid him £27 to change the battery!!! A lesson learned...walked back to the car, and bought a couple of things from Sainsburys, then drove home. Found Aki had returned, awaiting the delivery of a new Vodafone wifi hub. DPD duly rocked up with the goods. We had a salad lunch with halloumi cheese and fried mushrooms. Aki then set about setting up the freshly delivered wifi equipment. She spent about an hour on the phone to some guy in India, but got everything fired up. I practised some guitar for "Witch", and set up the practice amp and overdrive pedal...sounds OK. Cooked a chicken cacciatore for dinner, with sauteed potatoes and vegetables. Spent an hour or so listening to Kinks numbers ahead of tomorrow's gig at Alexandra Palace.
