Got up at 0900 feeling very tired...so decided to work from home today. Porridged at the computer. Sunny but cold outside...cold enough inside for the under-floor heating to come on! Worked through until lunchtime. Put together a ham salad. Aki nipped out to Waitrose after lunch, and I got back to work at the computer. Broke at 1700 to see Aki off...she headed for the Rowing Club, taking with her a chef's apron and various kitchen implements, as she is on duty in the kitchen for this evening's fund raising dinner. I phoned ma and pa to make sure the Waitrose delivery that Aki had ordered yesterday turned up...father confirmed he now had enough food in the freezer to host a street party. Kath FaceTimed me back. Mother looked a little weary, her right arm hanging heavily by her side, the bruising having made it's way right down her arm to her wrist...Kath a bit concerned that she isn't eating much, but she seems in relatively good spirits. Warmed up the last of the chicken domoda, which I ate with chapati and peas...very tasty...ice cream for afters. Watched a bit of telly, and played some guitar, then read a bit of "The Infatuations" followed by a dessert of "Our Mutual Friend"...enjoying them both. Aki got home about 2230 having been excused washing-up duty due to a wrist injury...bath and bed.
