Woke around 0930. Aki got up to ready herself for Rowing Club. I porridged once she'd cycled off, then walked up Highgate Hill for a coffee at Archies, and a read of the Javier Marias. Very busy inside...a lot of people eating...the food looks great, I have to say, but it's not cheap. Walked back down the hill, and continued reading on the sofa until Aki got home...she resolved to attack the privet hedge, and I aided and abetted. Phoned ma and pa...mum said dad was up the garden, digging! They seem in fine fettle, though mum feeling a bit under the weather. Cooked chicken domoda for dinner...a Gambian speciality, involving plenty of creamy peanut butter, tomatoes, and diced sweet potato. Ate with sticky rice and vegetables...yum! Finished off the last of the marmalade ice-cream for afters. Watched a bit of telly...enjoyed "Big Zuu Goes to Mecca"...he's a London based rapper and TV chef, and very personable...his big personality lights up the screen.
