Rolled out of bed around 0930 and descended to make tea. Bowl of cereal for breakfast. FaceTimed Aki who had had a good time at Kim's evening get-together at her flat in Muswell Hill. Cooked a lentil soup for use at a later date, then put a simple salad together for lunch, with ham and melon. Popped down to the village to get some provisions, and took a walk along the river behind The Diamond. Drove back to High View for a cuppa then started preparing the evening meal...spicy lamb and aubergine with egg noodles. It was OK...not as tasty as I'd hoped, and rather dry, there being no sauce. We watched a bit of telly in the living-room...enjoyed Michael Portillo's brief sojourn in Lisbon. Caught a bit of MOTD before bed...
