Woke around 0800 for some reason. Reluctantly rolled out of bed. Kath had driven off to work by the time I descended for breakfast with ma and pa in the dining-room. Packed the remains of the coq au vin into freezer-proof bags and stuck 'em in the freezer. Jim and Emma turned up in the van, en route for Lincolnshire. Jim mowed the lawn front and back. They stayed for some lunch...fish pie and vegetables for dad, as he was planning to start fasting this evening ahead of tomorrow morning's operation; poached eggs and bacon for the rest of us (Emma had some yoghurt and cereal she brought in from the van). They pushed off after lunch. I walked down to Darras Hall for a bit of exercise, and bought some odds and ends in the Co-op. Kath, mum and I ate the last of the fish pie for dinner...dad had a bit of chocolate cake, but that was all. Watched a bit of telly before retiring early...we all need to get up around 0600 tomorrow morning!
